As a Duty Manager, you will report directly to the Store Manager and assist in driving growth within our retail operations. You will be an integral part of the leadership team, ensuring exceptional customer service and contributing to the store's sales and profitability through our core values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Store Manager in maintaining a safe, legal, and high-performing store, taking overall responsibility during Duty Manager shifts.
- Assist in achieving store operations objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Manage, coach, and support team members, fostering a motivated and empowered workforce through positive management practices.
- Handle performance and absence management as necessary.
- Occasionally open and close the store, ensuring colleague safety and security of stock and cash.
- Conduct cash reconciliations, voids, refunds, and other management tasks for cashiers.
- Lead by example, guiding the team to deliver exceptional customer experiences that differentiate us from competitors.
- Collaborate with colleagues to engage with and support the local community.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and processes.
Essential Skills for Duty Manager:
- Previous experience in management or supervisory roles within a food retail or similar fast-paced environment.
- Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Effective planning, organization, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to communicate and influence at all levels.
- Decisive and able to take appropriate actions.
- Dedicated to fostering collaborative teamwork.
- Enthusiastic, flexible, and positive attitude.
