Head of Procurement - Chester (Hybrid 2-3 days in the office) - £65,000-£70,000 + Benefits

We are seeking a seasoned Procurement professional to lead our procurement function and drive strategic sourcing initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that optimize the sourcing and procurement of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers to negotiate favourable terms and pricing agreements
  • Develop and implement procurement processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new suppliers, products, and cost-saving opportunities
  • Manage the inventory of products at the modern distribution centre, optimizing stock levels and minimizing wastage

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in procurement and supply chain processes, ideally in the Pharma industry
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving cost savings and favourable contract terms
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Analytical mind-set with proficiency in data analysis tools & techniques
  • Experience managing inventory and logistics is desirable
