About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bureau Manager - Biodiversity Net Gain Specialist to join our UK team. As a key member of our Ecosystem Solutions department, you will work closely with our UK Nature Positive Lead to manage and assist with a range of projects spanning several sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise on Biodiversity Net Gain, using the Natural England Biodiversity Metric and other metrics.
  • Business Development: Develop and deliver novel biodiversity services, and support business development with global clients to achieve their Nature Positive ambitions.
  • Team Collaboration: Work across multidisciplinary teams, support the integration of biodiversity services across Ramboll, and provide technical input and review to the wider team of ecologists and biodiversity managers.
  • Client Management: Serve as the main point of contact with Ramboll project managers, clients, partner organizations, and sub-consultants, and assist with client relationship management.
  • Line Management: Line manage junior ecology and biodiversity consultants, and provide input to resource planning.
  • Additional Duties: Carry out additional duties as may reasonably be required in this role.
Requirements
  • Education: Appropriate BSc/MSc or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Significant experience in managing and delivering Biodiversity Net Gain projects across the UK, including biodiversity design and offsetting.
  • Skills: Ability to harness biodiversity conservation skills and knowledge to advise our Nature Positive clients, and produce clear and concise deliverables to a high technical standard.
  • Personal Qualities: Highly organized, able to work efficiently and effectively to deadlines, and possess good knowledge of relevant environmental/ecology legislation.
