Job Title: SEN Support Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Support Assistant to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a SEN Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing individualized support to students with SEN, working closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and caring individual to make a real difference in the lives of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEN, including 1:1 sessions and small group work
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation, including adapting materials to meet the needs of students with SEN
  • Support students with behavioral challenges, using positive behavior management techniques
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a smooth and supportive learning environment
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with students with SEN
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced learning environment
  • Comprehensive curriculum knowledge and understanding of SEN
