Job Title: SEN Support Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Support Assistant to join our team. As a SEN Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, providing individualized support and creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEN, adapting to their unique needs and abilities.
  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons, preparing materials, and maintaining a well-organized classroom.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote student engagement, motivation, and independence.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure comprehensive support for students.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with students with SEN, preferably in a school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of SEN legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
