Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Membership Recruiter, working across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Northamptonshire. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will be responsible for engaging with the public, promoting the work of the Wildlife Trust, and encouraging long-term support through membership sign-ups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the Wildlife Trust at various venues, including shows and events, to promote the charity's work and encourage membership sign-ups.
  • Engage with the public, providing information about the Wildlife Trust's conservation efforts and the benefits of membership.
  • Set up and maintain an attractive display, including gazebo, boards, and table, to showcase the charity's work and promote membership.
  • Use a tablet and Evergiving system to sign up new members, ensuring full disclosure and adherence to charity guidelines.
  • Act as an advocate for wildlife conservation and the charity, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Provide feedback on venues and report any issues promptly to ensure smooth operations.
  • Work closely with venue organizers and event staff to establish a successful setup for the day.
Requirements
  • Passion for wildlife conservation and a strong understanding of the charity's work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with the public and promote the charity's mission.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, with a strong work ethic and ability to travel daily.
  • Previous experience in fundraising or direct sales is highly desirable.
  • A full driving license and access to a vehicle are essential.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and adapt to various locations.

  • A competitive remuneration package, including a generous OTE (On-Target Earnings) and uncapped commission.

Interview Process

The interview process will consist of three stages: an initial call to confirm the role details, a field visit, and a 30-minute interview via Microsoft Teams. All interviews will be designed to be informal and provide an opportunity for open discussion.
