About the Role

We are seeking a skilled LGV Driver C+E (Low Loader) to join our Tarmac Pave Team in Birtley, Tyne and Wear. This role involves transporting mobile plant from site to site for the North East Pave Business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the lorry and ancillaries are regularly checked and report any defects to the Fitter and office.
  • Load and unload plant and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Plan journeys to ensure mobile plant equipment and materials arrive on site for the specified shift start time.
  • Liaise with the Plant Coordinator and Gang Foreman regularly to ensure smooth operations.
  • Work safely and in accordance with current Driving Regulations.

Requirements

  • Hold a valid LGV (HGV) Class 1 licence.
  • Have a valid Digital Tacho Card.
  • Have a valid CPC Qualification Card.
  • Possess knowledge of Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Be motivated and able to work independently and as part of the wider team.
