Researcher Opportunity at the University of Glasgow MVLS

The School of Infection and Immunity, MRC-University of Glasgow Centre for Virus Research (CVR), is seeking a researcher to contribute to UKRI-funded projects. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team working with Dr Chris Illingworth, combining genomic and epidemiological data to understand viral transmission and building mathematical approaches to enhance preparedness for outbreaks and epidemics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and apply mathematical models to analyze viral transmission patterns
  • Collaborate with researchers to integrate genomic and epidemiological data
  • Contribute to the development of preparedness strategies for outbreaks and epidemics
What We Offer:
  • A full-time position funded until 31 March 2028
  • Appointment at Grade 6 or 7 depending on experience
  • Competitive salary range: £32,332-£36,024 (Grade 6) or £39,347-£44,263 (Grade 7)
