Key Responsibilities:

  • Weekly cleaning of communal areas, including dusting, wiping, descaling, vacuuming, and mopping
  • Student kitchen checks and end-of-tenancy deep cleans
  • Operating cleaning machinery and cleaning up spills
  • Servicing conference rooms, moving furniture, and soft furnishings
  • Room packing, inventory completion, stock monitoring, and assisting contractors
  • Ensuring safe storage of cleaning materials and adherence to the COSHH register

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar environment, with safe use of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and machinery
  • Trained to BICS Standards or equivalent NVQ Levels 1 or 2
  • Good communication, ability to follow instructions, use technology effectively, and customer-focused attitude
  • Proactive, capable of working independently, completing tasks to a high standard within agreed timescales, and knowledgeable about Health & Safety and COSHH regulations
