About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cleaning Operative to join our team at Derwent FM. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, wiping, descaling, vacuuming, and mopping of communal areas.
  • Conduct regular student kitchen checks to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
  • Perform end-of-tenancy deep cleans, using cleaning machinery and equipment as required.
  • Assist with the maintenance of conference rooms, including moving furniture and soft furnishings.
  • Participate in room packing, inventory completion, stock monitoring, and assisting contractors as needed.
  • Ensure safe storage of cleaning materials and adherence to the COSHH register.
About You

We are looking for an individual with experience in a similar environment, with a proven track record of maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Essential skills include good communication, the ability to follow instructions, use technology effectively, and a customer-focused attitude.
