Payroll Officer

Platinum Recruitment Consultancy is partnering with a prominent hotel in the Greater London area to find an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team on an interim basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accurate and timely payroll for all hotel employees
- Manage the end-to-end payroll cycle, including data input, calculations, and disbursements
- Ensure compliance with UK tax regulations and employment laws
- Handle payroll queries from staff and management promptly and professionally
- Prepare and submit statutory returns, including PAYE and National Insurance contributions
- Reconcile payroll accounts and generate reports for management review
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll information
- Collaborate with HR to process new hires, terminations, and changes in employee status
- Assist in streamlining payroll processes and implementing best practices
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Officer preferably in the hospitality industry
- Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail
- Proficiency in payroll software systems (e.g. Sage, Xero or Similar)
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent problem solving abilities and analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- CIPP qualification or working towards it (desirable)
- Fourth Hospitality is essential
The ideal candidate will be immediately available with no prior commitments, including holiday, notice, and must have the right to work in the UK.
