Job Summary:

Gregory Group is seeking a reliable and skilled Class 1 Casual Driver to join our team on an ad-hoc basis. As a Class 1 Casual Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to retail stores and collecting containers from ports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver goods to retail stores on curtain side and box trailers on single and double deck trailers.
  • Collect multiple containers from port for delivery to distribution centre.
  • Keep in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and manage customer expectations.
  • Attend regular training sessions to maintain and improve skills.

Requirements:

  • Must have a UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.
  • Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
  • Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
  • Work to deadlines and be a team player.
  • Have good geographical knowledge and be fit, flexible, and self-motivated.
