Job Purpose:

As an IT Infrastructure Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development, delivery, maintenance, and enhancement of the company's IT systems and infrastructure. This includes both software and hardware components, with a significant focus on implementing robust security measures to safeguard our systems and data.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. IT Systems Management: Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of existing IT systems to ensure they are efficient and reliable. Streamline processes by integrating various systems, including production and engineering documentation, requirements management tools, ERP, and CRM systems. Ensure the IT infrastructure is scalable and meets both current and future business needs, focusing on seamless hardware and software integration.
  2. System Upkeep: Manage the upkeep of all IT systems and equipment, including CRM, MS Office, and ERP systems.
  3. Training and Integration: Provide training and support to ensure seamless integration of new systems and technologies.
  4. Hardware and Software Maintenance: Maintain all IT and communications hardware and software to ensure peak performance.
  5. Security Implementation: Ensure the security of all systems, data, and IT equipment, adhering to best practices and compliance standards.
  6. Application Development: Develop and implement new applications to support business growth and efficiency.
  7. Networking and Hardware Management: Plan and maintain networking and hardware requirements to support organizational growth.

Requirements:

  1. Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of computer hardware and software systems.
  2. Operating Systems: Proficiency with Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems.
  3. System Integration: Experience with CRM (Salesforce) and ERP (Syspro) systems development and integration.
  4. MS Office Proficiency: Strong skills in MS Office applications, including on-premise Exchange.
  5. IT Security: Experience in IT security practices, including anti-virus, data loss prevention, and data security/backups.
  6. Linux Systems: Knowledge of Linux systems is highly desirable.
  7. Education: A degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
  8. Attitude: A positive, can-do attitude with a dedication to completing tasks and projects, even when new opportunities arise.
