Position Overview – Mechanical Engineer (Fitting and Fabrication)This role offers a dynamic and diverse set of responsibilities within a fast-paced processing environment. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will engage in various mechanical engineering tasks.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform a wide range of Mechanical Engineering functions, including site-wide fabrication, welding, and maintenance.
- Conduct fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and execute repairs.
- Implement Planned Preventative Maintenance strategies.
- Oversee the installation of new machinery and equipment as needed.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess a Time Served qualification or an HNC in a Mechanical discipline, along with substantial experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Fabricator in a processing, manufacturing, or engineering context.
In addition to a robust maintenance and fabrication background, strong welding skills are essential, with prior experience in Mig/MMA welding being a requirement.
