Controller of Financial Operations

Equity Finance Partners, a leading international Private Equity backed SaaS business, is seeking a progressive Group Financial Controller to build a first-class finance function that supports strategic growth and integrates future acquisitions. This role offers a truly outstanding opportunity for a finance professional looking to progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of Group reporting, including monthly Board packs, to ensure timely and accurate financial information.
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of 15 finance professionals, providing technical guidance and support as needed.
- Oversee the annual budgeting process across the group, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Review and evaluate current financial systems and processes to ensure fitness for purpose.
- Implement strong financial controls and processes to safeguard assets and maximize profit performance.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities for process enhancements and cost savings.
- Prepare annual Consolidated Financial Statements, collaborating closely with external auditors.
- Ensure timely and accurate production of monthly Management Accounts and Financial KPIs.
- Improve reporting timelines to meet the requirements of Private Equity investors.
- Lead monthly Group Cashflow forecasting, including covenant reporting and Treasury Management.
- Oversee the annual external audit process, tax compliance, and R&D.
- Manage M&A transaction accounting and support integrations.
- Perform ad hoc duties as required.
- Support the exit process, including data room and due diligence.
Requirements:
- Graduate-level education with demonstrable academic success.
- Professionally qualified Accountant, ideally with training in practice before gaining industry experience.
- Ability to build a first-class finance function, developing the team and improving the quality and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Strong technical knowledge of statutory accounting (IFRS) and compliance, with experience of M&A and taxation (UK and Europe).
- Experience of monthly group consolidations, including overseas trading entities with fx exposure.
- Strong IT and systems skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Engaging and confident, able to build and maintain relationships with C-suite and department heads.
