Fawkes & Reece South is a leading company in the renewable energy sector, specializing in solar PV design and installation. We are seeking an experienced Solar PV Design Engineer to join our team in Oxford.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Solar PV Design Engineer to work closely with our Operations Director on various projects across residential, education, commercial, and industrial sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating CAD designs of Solar PV and battery storage systems that meet project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and Development
  • Manage and complete design packages for project proposals from clients, including tenders.
  • Complete grid connection applications, connection surgeries, and engage with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) throughout the project.
  • Undertake initial yield assessments of potential solar sites alongside data analysis to determine array size and layout.
Project Coordination
  • Collaborate with the Operations Director to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Communicate with clients and stakeholders to provide updates on project progress.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Extensive experience in solar PV design and installation.Strong knowledge of CAD design software and data analysis tools.Excellent communication and project management skills.
