Job Title: Renewable Energy Specialist

Location: Oxford

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Renewable Energy Specialist to join our team at a dynamic and growing private planning consultancy based in Oxford. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of projects from conception through to completion.

The Role:

As a Renewable Energy Specialist, you will conduct ecological assessments, provide advice on mitigation and enhancement, and work closely with planners and other environmental specialists to ensure that biodiversity is at the heart of project planning.

  1. Conduct Phase 1 habitat surveys, protected species surveys, and ecological assessments.
  2. Provide ecological input into Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).
  3. Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
  4. Support in obtaining relevant environmental permits and licences.
  5. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team on a variety of renewable projects.
Requirements:
  1. A degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  2. Experience in undertaking ecological surveys and assessments.
  3. Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy.
  4. A passion for sustainability and renewable energy.
  5. Full UK driving licence (essential).
