Maintenance Manager Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team at a well-established industrial environmental services business. The successful candidate will have a strong electrical bias and expertise in both mobile and fixed plant equipment.

The role involves overseeing the maintenance of mobile and fixed plant machinery used in material handling operations, developing and implementing preventative maintenance schedules, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies and spares management.
  • Lead and mentor a team of technicians and engineers, providing hands-on support when necessary.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to plant performance and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure all equipment operates in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Manage spare parts inventories and procurement strategies to support continuous operations.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a Maintenance Management /Supervisory role ideally within a material handling environment.
  • Strong electrical skills and experience with both mobile and fixed plant machinery.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong leadership skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Electrical engineering qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience with material handling systems such as conveyors, forklifts, cranes, etc.

We offer a competitive salary of £40-45k, pension scheme, and death in service cover. The role is full-time and permanent, with 33 days holiday (25 days annual leave plus bank holidays) and free on-site parking.
