Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our Shared Services Centre R2R team, reporting to the Financial Accountant. The successful candidate will provide support to the Financial Accountants to ensure all financial, management, statutory accounting, and reporting for Devro USA, Devro Australia, Devro Asia, and Devro Scotland meet both internal and external requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with local legislation and fiscal requirements.
- Prepare and review month-end and year-end reports, including management accounts, operating expenses, group projects, exceptional items, and miscellaneous income and expense.
- Collaborate with the AP and AR teams to ensure accurate reporting of P2P and I2C sub-ledgers for an efficient period-close process.
- Communicate regularly with local Devro leadership and Group finance teams.
- Develop and maintain accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
- Protect company assets by enforcing controls and company policies.
- Ensure all Balance Sheet reconciliations are completed on a monthly basis.
- Proactively support the communication of deviations from expected financial performance.
- Drive best practice across the business.
- Provide support on ad-hoc reporting and analysis requested by the Devro businesses.
