We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Sister/Charge Nurse to join our team on the Cystic Fibrosis Unit at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, leading and developing a team of nurses, and contributing to the overall success of our unit.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring individual patient needs are assessed, care planned, implemented, and evaluated regularly.
- Exercise judgment in assessing wide-ranging and complex patient problems, agreeing solutions, and ensuring the delivery of optimum patient care.
- Lead and develop a professional team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures, ensuring they are evidence-based and aligned with Trust standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery and achieve excellent patient outcomes.
- First-level registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- 1st Degree or evidence of working towards.
- Completed the national PEAP programme for practice supervisors or equivalent teaching and assessing qualification.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Postgraduate Certificate (desirable).
- Extensive post-registration experience, preferably in a respiratory or cystic fibrosis setting.
- Relevant experience at Junior Sister/Charge Nurse level.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a professional team.
- Evidence of management and leadership qualification/development.
- Evidence of managing change.
