About the Role

Mansell Recruitment Group is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services to our clients in the Commercial Vehicle industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out diagnostics and repairs at customer and third-party sites
  • Perform major unit exchanges at customer and third-party sites
  • Support OEMs as required
  • Support sales teams in increasing awareness of product performance and driving growth
  • Provide technical support and advice to sales colleagues
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with customers and their representatives
  • Liaise with Health & Safety and Field Service Managers on any issues arising from day-to-day tasks
  • Complete engineering reports in a timely manner
  • Manage expenses responsibly
  • Monitor and control stock levels within individual's depot
  • Maintain company vehicle in accordance with company policy
  • Carry out stock takes in line with annual plan
  • Work unsociable hours may arise to meet the requirements of the business
  • Work reasonable additional hours to meet business needs
  • Use reporting procedures to feedback quality related issues noted during the work assignment
  • Ensure all assigned training within PEP and iHasco are kept up to date
  • Undertake product specific training when requested
Requirements
  • Completed engineering apprenticeship as minimum, level 5 qualification or higher preferred
  • Mechatronics or multi-skilled engineer with electrical bias
  • Background in field services and engineering
  • Experience with electric vehicles
  • Working knowledge of zero emission vehicles, electric drive / fuel cell
  • Experience with high voltage vehicle systems
  • Working knowledge of variable speed electric drives and control systems
  • Excellent diagnostic capabilities
  • Full UK driving licence

We are offering a competitive salary of up to £60k, plus bonus (up to 7%), private medical, private dental and 6% employer pension.
