Crisis Skylight Brent is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Engagement and Assessment Worker to join their team. As a key member of the Engagement and Assessment Team, you will provide a high-quality, non-judgmental, and safe service to individuals experiencing homelessness.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing information about Crisis' services and delivering a high-quality triage and assessment service
- Offering Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG) on local homelessness and other related services
- Managing a small caseload and working collaboratively with external partners and Crisis Skylight Brent's Coaching and Learning Teams
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Experience working with homeless or vulnerable groups and a deep understanding of the importance of respecting confidentiality, showing empathy, and working in a boundary way
- Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering the highest standard of customer care and high-quality IAG
- Good knowledge of homelessness, housing, and welfare legislation and Safeguarding procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills, including effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to deal with challenging situations with a calm approach

About Crisis
Crisis is a national charity for people experiencing homelessness. Our mission is to end homelessness for good. We work with thousands of people across England, Scotland, and Wales to provide housing and benefits advice, 1-2-1 coaching, advocacy, courses, and peer group sessions, alongside practical services such as showers and laundry for street homeless individuals.

What We Offer
