About the Role

We are seeking an experienced English Teacher to join our team at Jubilee School, part of Acorn Education. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of planning and delivering English lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students.

The ideal candidate will be an exemplary classroom practitioner with high expectations of self and others. They will be passionate about encouraging all students to achieve success and will have excellent classroom management skills.

Responsibilities will include teaching English to students with SEMH needs, creating a purposeful learning environment, and setting and marking work to be carried out by students. The successful candidate will also contribute to the wider curriculum of the school through sports, arts, music, drama, and other enrichment activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Learning
  • Planning and preparing schemes of work and lesson plans
  • Creating a purposeful learning environment
  • Teaching, according to individual educational needs, the pupils assigned to him/her
  • Setting and marking work to be carried out by the pupils in school and elsewhere
  • Teaching engaging and motivating lessons informed by well-grounded expectations of learners
  • Using assessment as part of their teaching to diagnose learners' needs
