Payroll Finance Advisor

Job Summary:
New College Swindon is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Finance Advisor to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. As a key member of the Finance team, you will provide administrative support for payroll activities, ensuring accurate and timely processing of staff payments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and process payroll for college staff, including month-end and year-end processes.
- Provide support to staff for online payslip and P60 enquiries.
- Act as the first point of contact for statutory and non-statutory agencies, including HMRC, Department of Work & Pensions, and funding agencies.
- Liaise with other agencies relating to payroll deductions, such as childcare vouchers and attachment of earnings.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Level 2 business-related qualification (AAT, Business & Administration, etc.).
- Previous experience working in finance or a cash handling environment.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines, manage workload effectively, and maintain high attention to detail.
- Decision-making skills and ability to work independently.
