Role Overview:
The Timber Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing processes and production lines for a premium selection of timber products. The key responsibilities include:
- Supervising production teams to ensure optimal efficiency and output.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives in quality, operational functionality, supplier value, health and safety standards, and teamwork.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and health and safety protocols.
- Collaborating with maintenance teams to guarantee that machinery operates at peak performance with minimal downtime.
- Identifying opportunities for enhancements within the production line to boost productivity.
- Providing ongoing performance feedback to the production workforce.
The ideal candidate for the Timber Production Supervisor role will possess:
- Proven experience in production management within the manufacturing sector.
- A background in timber products, renewable energy, or construction, with familiarity in materials such as lumber, saw milling, decking, and fencing.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (5S) and relevant health and safety qualifications (IOSH & NEBOSH) are preferred.
- Proficiency in IT and manufacturing software.
- A proactive, organized, and motivated approach to work.
