Support Worker Job Description

At Alina Homecare, we're looking for a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Dorset. As a Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in enabling individuals with learning disabilities to live independently and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with daily tasks, such as attending appointments, going to day centres, and participating in social activities.
  • Support clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Help clients with medication management, including administering medication and collecting prescriptions.
  • Prepare healthy meals and snacks for clients, ensuring they maintain a balanced diet.
  • Accompany clients on day trips and outings, promoting social interaction and community engagement.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, helping them build confidence and self-esteem.
Requirements:

We're looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference in people's lives. As a Support Worker, you'll need to be:

  • Compassionate and empathetic, with a strong understanding of the needs of individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Flexible and able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
