Job Description

**Business Development Director - Financial Services**

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Director to join our team at Click and Connect Online Limited. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding our presence in the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Revenue Growth: Collaborate with our Group Head of Business Development to identify and convert new business sales opportunities, maximizing revenue growth across our UK and international products and propositions.
  • Business Development: Play a pivotal role in our Business Development team, achieving year-on-year growth and promoting our products, propositions, and services through intermediated channels.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain an effective network of professional financial and investment advisers within the intermediated channel community, fostering strong relationships and driving business growth.
  • Commercial Strategy: Collaborate with our Group Head of Business Development to develop and execute our commercial strategy across all product lines, driving continuous new business and revenue growth.
  • Market Opportunities: Identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential market opportunities by size, business opportunity, and return on investment, maximizing business opportunities to achieve agreed growth targets.
  • Sales Pipeline: Develop and maintain a proactive network of key intermediary business partners, building and promoting strong, sustainable intermediary relationships.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Present sales, revenue, and expenses reports along with realistic forecasts to our Group Head of Business Development, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure all new written business adheres to our compliance processes and procedures, maintaining the highest standards of governance and risk management.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Develop collaborative working relationships within our organization, maintaining proactive relations with subsidiary Managing Directors and key stakeholders, and liaising with our Marketing function to ensure relevant product literature and collateral is up-to-date and supportive of the sales process.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Experienced business development professional with a proven history of working in the financial services industry in the UK, international markets, and/or both.
  • Skills: Excellent influencing, decision-making, and negotiation skills, with a good understanding of the life, pension, and broader retirement markets.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels, with demonstrable experience of following a structured sales process(es) and proactive relationship and account management skills.
  • Technical Experience: Demonstrable technical experience in the life, pensions, and/or retirement arena(s), with a strong network of intermediary contacts and a proven track record of delivering new business growth.
  • Consumer Duty and Treating Customers Fairly: Experience translating the principles of Consumer Duty and Treating Customers Fairly into a business development role.
