Position Overview:

In this role, you will be instrumental in encouraging physical activity, health, and wellness among students while instilling a passion for sports and fitness. You will have the chance to conduct engaging and varied PE lessons that address the diverse interests and abilities of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Implementation: Design and deliver high-quality PE lessons that cover a variety of sports, games, and activities, tailored to the unique needs and interests of students.
  • Skill Enhancement: Provide guidance and instruction to assist students in developing essential movement skills, sport-specific techniques, and tactical knowledge across multiple sports and physical activities.
  • Promotion of Fitness: Inspire students to adopt active and healthy lifestyles by emphasizing the significance of physical fitness and wellness through both practical demonstrations and theoretical insights.
  • Inclusive Education: Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student feels valued and empowered to participate and excel in PE, regardless of their background or skill level.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Evaluate students' progress and achievements in PE through observation, skill assessments, and performance reviews, offering constructive feedback to facilitate their growth.
  • Extracurricular Engagement: Organize and lead extracurricular sports clubs, teams, and events to provide students with additional opportunities for skill enhancement, competition, and enjoyment.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification with a focus on Physical Education.
  • A genuine passion for promoting physical activity, health, and wellness among youth, with a dedication to inspiring and motivating students through PE.
  • Experience in teaching PE at the secondary level, with a solid understanding of curriculum standards, sports coaching principles, and assessment methodologies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and motivating students from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Knowledge of various sports, games, and physical activities, with the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs and interests of students.
