Job Title: Regional SHEQ Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional SHEQ Advisor to join our team at Inside Avenue Recruitment. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement health and safety best practices to ensure compliance with current legislation and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with management to establish and maintain a safe system of work and a safe environment for colleagues and clients.
  • Advise on the implementation of company policies, procedures, and safe systems of work.
  • Communicate with site teams to deliver training and ensure compliance with health and safety protocols.
  • Monitor and improve health, safety, and environmental performance on assigned contracts.
  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections to ensure compliance with CDM regulations and company policies.
  • Ensure all sites are CDM compliant and relevant documentation is up-to-date.
  • Attend client meetings and provide SHEQ advice as required.
  • Carry out company inductions for new starters and ensure relevant paperwork is completed.
  • Assist in the preparation of pre-qualification questionnaires and tender documentation.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, identify root causes, and implement preventative measures.
  • Compile reports and forward them to the SHEQ Manager/Director in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Logical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to cope under pressure and work as part of a team.
  • Trustworthiness and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Smart appearance and professional manner.
  • 5 years of experience in a construction or utility-related role.
  • NEBOSH/NCRQ Level 6 (NVQ Level 5 as a minimum standard).
  • EUSR or CSCS in a related subject.
  • NRSWA (SWQR).
  • Working knowledge of HSG47.
  • Power/Fibre/Water/Gas experience.
  • Proficient in accident/incident investigation and RCA.
  • Proficient in data analysis and compiling reports.
  • Competent in core standard Microsoft software.
