We are seeking a highly skilled Regional SHEQ Advisor to join our team at Inside Avenue Recruitment. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees and clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement health and safety best practices to ensure compliance with current legislation and industry standards.
- Collaborate with management to establish and maintain a safe system of work and a safe environment for colleagues and clients.
- Advise on the implementation of company policies, procedures, and safe systems of work.
- Communicate with site teams to deliver training and ensure compliance with health and safety protocols.
- Monitor and improve health, safety, and environmental performance on assigned contracts.
- Conduct regular site audits and inspections to ensure compliance with CDM regulations and company policies.
- Ensure all sites are CDM compliant and relevant documentation is up-to-date.
- Attend client meetings and provide SHEQ advice as required.
- Carry out company inductions for new starters and ensure relevant paperwork is completed.
- Assist in the preparation of pre-qualification questionnaires and tender documentation.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, identify root causes, and implement preventative measures.
- Compile reports and forward them to the SHEQ Manager/Director in a timely manner.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Logical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to cope under pressure and work as part of a team.
- Trustworthiness and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Smart appearance and professional manner.
- 5 years of experience in a construction or utility-related role.
- NEBOSH/NCRQ Level 6 (NVQ Level 5 as a minimum standard).
- EUSR or CSCS in a related subject.
- NRSWA (SWQR).
- Working knowledge of HSG47.
- Power/Fibre/Water/Gas experience.
- Proficient in accident/incident investigation and RCA.
- Proficient in data analysis and compiling reports.
- Competent in core standard Microsoft software.
