We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Reed. As an Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day activities of our clients' Basildon offices and warehouses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Maintain a High-Performing Branch Facility: You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of operations, managing a diverse team, and fostering a customer-focused approach.
- Implement Strategic and Operational Plans: You will work closely with the management team to develop and implement strategic and operational plans to meet objectives and goals.
- Train, Measure, and Manage Employees: You will train, measure, and manage employees in company operational processes and standards, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Negotiate and Monitor Supplier Contracts: You will negotiate and monitor supplier contracts to ensure the best possible deals for the company.
- Oversee Recruitment: You will oversee the recruitment process, including interviewing, hiring, and monitoring staffing levels to ensure the branch has the necessary resources to meet its objectives.
Requirements:
- Proven Track Record: You will have a proven track record in leading/managing operations teams, with a strong background in logistics and supply chain management.
- Leadership and Financial Analysis Skills: You will have strong leadership, financial analysis, negotiation, and customer satisfaction skills, with the ability to make informed decisions that drive efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Transport Mode Knowledge: You will have knowledge and experience in the following transport modes: Ocean and Road (Air not essential but preferred).
- 3PL and Warehousing Experience: You will have experience in 3PL and warehousing activities, with a strong understanding of the logistics industry.
