About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Claims Broker to join our team at IDEX Consulting Ltd. As a Senior Claims Broker, you will play a critical role in providing an efficient, high-quality, and reliable claims service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with clients and provide expert advice on claim procedures, ensuring seamless communication and resolution.
- Collaborate with Underwriters, Insurers, Loss Adjusters, Solicitors, and colleagues to manage claims effectively.
- Attend meetings with clients, Underwriters, Loss Adjusters, and colleagues as required, maintaining accurate meeting notes.
- Broker claims to Underwriters within the UK Market, including crossover with Lloyd's, LIRMA, ILU, and company markets.
- Recognize circumstances requiring referral to appropriate authorities, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Create and maintain claims records on our company database, diary claims for updates, and keep financial records up-to-date.
- Analyze claims data spreadsheets to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and send email correspondence/instructions to relevant parties, ensuring clear and concise communication.
- Handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls, accurately recording all information.
- Refer any complaints received to the Compliance Officer, ensuring adherence to our Company Complaints Procedure and FSA guidelines.
- Ensure timely claim payments to clients and service providers, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to our company's systems and procedures, conducting regular checks and audits of claim files, maintaining records of complaints and repudiations.
Requirements
- Strong market/industry knowledge, with experience in Property, Liability, Financial Lines, and Motor Claims.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
- Good understanding of technical aspects of claims handling and policy wordings.
- Ability to interpret information accurately and present it effectively to Underwriters and clients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing a first-class service to clients.
