Part-time position: 28 hours per week, four days a week with flexible scheduling.
A weekend enhancement of £2.00 per hour will be provided for shifts worked between 7am and 8pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
Birnbeck House serves as a residence for 13 adults with learning disabilities.
Role Overview
As the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective upkeep of the facility and its surroundings.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing designated support staff and ensuring that the safety of the facility and all equipment is maintained through regular inspections and servicing. Tasks such as painting, repairing, replacing, and cleaning will be essential to keep the premises in excellent condition.
You will also manage vehicle safety and coordinate repairs carried out by external contractors.
Key Qualifications for Success:
- Demonstrated experience in a relevant trade (e.g., plumbing or carpentry) or a similar position.
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards.
- Ability to perform the physical tasks associated with the role.
- Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
- A Level 3 or 4 qualification in a relevant trade is desirable.
- A valid driving license may be required.
- Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the service.
