Job Title: Principal Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Designer to join our Health and Safety team. As a Principal Designer, you will play a key role in ensuring that our clients comply with their statutory duties and that our projects are delivered safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients in ensuring compliance with their statutory duties
  • Act as the nominated Principal Designer consultant to internal and external organisations
  • Carry out full Principal Designer duties under the CDM regulations 2015, including chairing Design Team Meetings and full Design Risk Management compliance
  • Conduct site Health and Safety audits
  • Represent the company at meetings with clients, other professionals and suppliers
  • Ensure full compliance of all Health and Safety requirements, practices and procedures
Requirements:
  • Several years experience acting as Principal Designer
  • Demonstrable understanding of design and construction drawings, with experience of undertaking Design Risk Reviews
  • Ability to manage, with support, your own workload and project deliverables
  • Hold or be working towards CMaPS Accreditation
  • Degree or equivalent in a Built Environment subject and/or membership of other relevant professional bodies
