Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at NEC Software Solutions. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing first-line service support for a range of communications equipment deployed within the Emergency Services customer base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for communications equipment, including fault finding and fixing of mobile devices.
  • Work within a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure environment, utilizing Hyper V and Cluster administration.
  • Perform hardware testing and measurement, as well as troubleshooting and problem assessment.
  • Collaborate with the team to resolve technical issues and ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing excellent customer-facing skills and communication.

Requirements

  • Ability to attain SC & NPPV3 clearance.
  • Experience in fault finding / fixing of mobile devices.
  • Full, clean driving licence essential.
  • Working within a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure environment.
  • Experience in a support role in a fast-paced organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of AD, Windows desktop/server operating systems, WSUS & WDS & SEPM.
  • Strong PC applications skills/Experience of rolling out devices within strict deadlines.
  • Working within a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure environment Hyper V and Cluster administration.
  • Hardware test and Measurement.
  • Windows 7 and 10.
  • IP/Data Comms.
  • Customer Facing Skills.
  • Valid UK Driving licence.
  • Windows Server 2012, 2016 and 2019.
  • IP Networking.
  • Cisco routers and switching.
  • Information Security.
  • ITIL.
