About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Visitor Experience Officer to join our team at Divis & the Black Mountain. As a key member of our Belfast Portfolio Operations Team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a high-quality visitor experience that welcomes everyone.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of the operations plan for the site, working closely with the NLHF funded Divis Project team.
- Oversee the visitor operation, analysing and interpreting audience data/insight, and championing the audience voice.
- Work with project and regional colleagues to improve the visitor journey and visitor programming to meet the needs of the project and our visitors.
- Lead for quality standards in interpretation, presentation, signage, and communication with our visitors both onsite and digitally.
- Develop and deliver engaging visitor programming for diverse audiences, working collaboratively with members of the site team, the Belfast Portfolio, and whole Trust teams.
- Strategically plan and budget for the visitor experience, working alongside the Programming & Partnerships Manager to support the development of effective and engaging programming.
- Lead a team of Welcome & Service Assistants and volunteers, as well as the Divis Facilities Assistant, to deliver for our visitors and the community groups we engage.
- Contribute to the wider NLHF project development and delivery, working alongside the project team and the Volunteering and Community Team.
Requirements
- Passion for the work of the National Trust to deliver its charitable objectives in urban areas.
- Collaborative leadership style, taking time to support your team and everyone across the portfolio.
- Good understanding of visitor operations and high-quality engagement with a passion to develop and deliver engaging visitor programming for diverse audiences.
- Ability to engage with our visitors, partners, and collaborators with ease and confidence.
- Experience of managing a budget and developing innovative approaches to income generation to maximise opportunities for financial growth and sustainability.
- Excellent people skills with the ability to build positive and productive relationships and influence at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Understanding of health & safety, compliance, and risk in a similar work environment.
