Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Manager to join our team. As a Retail Store Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of sales associates and ensuring the store runs smoothly and efficiently. Your primary focus will be on driving sales and profit, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining a well-merchandised store.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales and Profit
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve store targets
- Monitor and analyze sales reports to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Make informed decisions to optimize sales and profit
- Customer Service
- Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Train and develop sales associates to provide excellent customer service
- Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Store Operations
- Oversee store operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and store maintenance
- Ensure the store is well-organized and visually appealing
- Manage store budgets and resources effectively
- Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, and develop sales associates to achieve their full potential
- Provide coaching and feedback to sales associates to improve performance
- Lead by example and demonstrate a positive and supportive attitude
Requirements
- Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience
- 1-2 years retail management experience
- Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Sound understanding of mathematics and strong reading comprehension skills
- Ability to analyze sales reports and strategically problem-solve
- Ability to stand during scheduled shifts
- Ability to maneuver up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally
- Bending, stooping, extended reaching, climbing ladders and step stools while placing merchandise throughout the store and assisting customers
- Ability to operate POS system
