Role Overview

As a Counter Terrorism Investigator within the Counter Terrorism Policing unit, you will be an integral member of a specialized team of investigators, reporting directly to a Detective Sergeant and the Senior Investigating Officer.

Your primary responsibility will be to collect and enhance intelligence in accordance with the National Intelligence Model, alongside gathering evidence related to investigations into criminal and extremist behaviors, as well as terrorism-related offenses. This role involves active participation in arrests, conducting interviews, and processing suspects in compliance with applicable criminal laws.

It is crucial that you are a qualified Detective Constable with demonstrable investigative experience, capable of working with minimal supervision.

A readiness to adapt and travel on short notice is essential. This position may require shift work and availability during public holidays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collecting and enhancing intelligence in alignment with the National Intelligence Model.
  • Gathering evidence concerning criminal activities, extremist, subversive, and terrorist offenses.
  • Participating in operational briefings to ensure effective communication and intelligence sharing.
  • Executing arrests and processing suspects in relation to terrorism and/or criminal offenses, adhering to current legislation.
  • Demonstrating experience in developing and constructing cases related to criminal activities.
  • Supporting the criminal justice process, including court attendance.
