We are seeking a skilled Chartered Building Surveyor to enhance our Building Surveyor division within a multi-disciplinary consultancy. This role is set in a dynamic office environment in London.

As a Building Surveyor, you will engage with a diverse clientele, overseeing their property assets, projects, and transactions.

Your responsibilities will encompass offering guidance on design, construction, upkeep, repair, and renovation. This includes projects for commercial, educational, residential, leisure, and healthcare sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct building and measured surveys
  • Ensure compliance with current building regulations and technical standards
  • Document site particulars, draft specifications, obtain estimates, plan maintenance schedules, and manage contracts for maintenance activities
  • Evaluate and report on building defects
  • Manage claims and negotiations with loss adjusters, leading to the creation of drawings and specifications for corrective work
  • Prepare schedules of dilapidations for land and buildings

Required Experience:

  • MRICS Chartered status
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
