About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Moorpark Place, a specialist supported living service for adults on the Autistic Spectrum. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing person-centred care and support to our residents, enabling them to live fulfilling and engaging lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build strong relationships with residents, promoting open and two-way communication
  • Support residents in their rehabilitation programmes, encouraging independence and participation
  • Establish effective methods of communication, reducing barriers when necessary
  • Assist with mealtimes and activities of daily living, promoting dignity and respect
  • Communicate effectively with the clinical team, reporting any issues or concerns
  • Accurately record and report work activities, maintaining high standards of documentation

Requirements
  • A genuine interest in providing person-centred care and support
  • The ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including with residents, colleagues, and clinical teams
  • Experience working in the care sector or mental health would be an advantage, but not essential
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
