Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to take on a lead role within the Corporate Nursing Team at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement the Trust's Advanced Practice Strategy.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supervising a large cohort of students studying the apprenticeship Advanced Clinical Practice Programme. This will involve coordinating the education programme and activities required to support the ACPs in practice and for a higher level of study.

You will also be responsible for taking forward the Trust's ACP strategy and ensuring organisational adherence to the Trust's ACP policy. Additionally, you will lead the coordination of the Advanced Clinical Practitioner students' activities in education and clinical settings within the Trust.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of clinical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will be expected to attend the Trust's leadership development programme and quality improvement programme, which will equip you with the skills to champion, lead, and complete quality improvement within your role.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in advanced clinical practice, with a Master's degree in the field and registration with a professional body such as the NMC or HCPC. You will also have experience in delivering complex and specialist information to large groups and have a leadership qualification or course.

As a key member of the team, you will be expected to demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and other stakeholders. You will also be expected to be able to lead and manage a team, with a focus on developing and implementing the Trust's ACP strategy.
