Job Summary:

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Senior Design Engineer to lead a skilled team of design engineers in the development of innovative access platforms for various sectors including Rail, Aviation, and Vehicles. The successful candidate will have a strong background in design engineering, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead a team to meet critical deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design team to meet critical deadlines through effective communication, planning, and monitoring of results.
• Maintain high-quality service by establishing and enforcing organisational standards.
• Conduct design reviews, manage engineering changes, and oversee the integration of CAD models with manufacturing processes.
• Engage with subcontractors, suppliers, and customers to ensure seamless project execution.
• Utilise Autodesk Inventor for CAD modelling, detailing, and simulation to optimise design efficiency.
• Ensure all projects comply with legal, statutory, and in-house structural requirements.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in leading a design engineering team in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Inventor, including CAD modelling, detailing, and simulation.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
• A solid understanding of structural design rules, stress analysis, and stability calculations.
• A commitment to continuous personal and professional development.
