Phlebotomy Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing a high-quality Phlebotomy service to patients within our Outpatients Department.

Main Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples from patients in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to best practice standards and trust policies.
• Ensure accurate patient identification and maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Transport samples safely to the laboratory for analysis.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide a seamless patient experience.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives within the department.

Requirements

• Level 1 in Maths/English or equivalent demonstrable experience.
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent demonstrable experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience of working in a care environment, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
