About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IE Engineer to join our Assurance Team, responsible for specifying, planning, and developing complex Asset-based IE engineering activities within the O&P UK Assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain knowledge of relevant IE legislation and standards impacting the Asset equipment on site.
  • Assist and guide the O&P Assets IE Duty Holders to develop, deliver, and sustain an Asset IE equipment maintenance & inspection strategy.
  • In support of the Asset IE Duty Holders, develop an asset equipment Asset Life Plan.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of IE equipment design, specification, operation, and maintenance.
  • Act as the Electrical Duty Holder in support of the site Facilities Management team.

Requirements

  • Chartered status (or equivalent) with significant experience in a manufacturing industry OR extensive experience with other vocational qualifications.
  • Good working knowledge of the law as it applies to the design, operation, maintenance, and decommissioning of electrical equipment.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of discipline legislative and regulatory requirements and demonstrated ability to appropriately translate these requirements into equipment inspection/maintenance regimes.
  • Good understanding of IEC 60079 ATEX.
  • Experience of following a Management of Change process and associated documentation management systems.
