The SAS grade comprises 7 medical professionals, including one Associate Specialist and six Specialty Doctors.

Additionally, we have 2 specialty trainees (ST4-7) from the South Yorkshire deanery, who currently provide first on-call cover on a 1:9 rota.

Our service is committed to fostering a robust training environment. Specialty Doctors rotate through a structured timetable with dedicated theatre sessions. Regular Consultant-led teaching sessions are scheduled for Friday afternoons, with allocated SPA time.
