Job Title: Early Help Service Manager

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Early Help Service Manager to join our team at Tameside Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the Family Help service and other relevant teams, working collaboratively with key partners across health, police, education, social care, and the voluntary sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to deliver high-quality responsive services that support families and prevent needs and risks escalating.
  • Lead and manage a team of professionals to ensure the delivery of efficient, timely, and high-quality services to children, young people, and their families.
  • Quality assure the standard of work and drive changes necessary to improve practice that meet the expected standards of the Family Help Services.
  • Work closely with the Head of Service to identify and develop a workforce that is equipped to deliver high-quality services.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in leading and managing teams, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality services.
  • Effective skills in communication, leadership, and management, with the ability to work collaboratively with key partners.
  • Commitment to achieving positive outcomes for young people, families, and communities.
  • Strong leadership, management, and supervision experience, with the ability to support staff on thresholds and risk management.
