We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our team at Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Cancer Services team, you will play a vital role in providing specialist psychological assessment and intervention to patients receiving cancer care in Dudley.
Key Responsibilities- Provide highly specialist psychological assessment of clients with complex conditions, utilizing evidence-based practice and integrating data from various sources.
- Recognize potential signs of client harm, abuse, or neglect, and take all reasonable steps to protect the client, reporting concerns as necessary.
- Undertake risk assessment and risk management for individual clients, providing specialist advice to other professionals on psychological aspects of risk assessment and risk management.
- Formulate plans for highly specialist psychological therapy and/or management of clients' mental health conditions, negotiating implementation with clients and/or their carers.
- Post-graduate doctoral level training in Applied Psychology, as accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology.
- HCPC registration as an Applied Psychologist.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Experience working within a Physical Health Setting and multi-disciplinary team working.
- Evidence-based practice relevant to the role and knowledge of legislation in relation to the client group.
