Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pastoral Co-ordinator to join our team at Oldham Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the pastoral team to ensure it addresses the needs of our pupils, promoting positive values, attitudes, and good pupil behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the pastoral team to ensure it addresses the needs of the pupils.
- Be responsible for attendance/truancy.
- Lead and co-ordinate the process of pupil reintegration across the school.
- Be responsible for all admissions to school.
- Monitor, evaluate and report on the effectiveness of the pastoral provision and pupil attendance.
Requirements:
The successful applicant will be able to build positive relationships with children, colleagues, and parents, and work alongside a welcoming and dedicated staff team. They will have a broad understanding and knowledge of the barriers faced by pupils preventing them from reaching their full potential.
