Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a high standard of cleaning in clinical and non-clinical areas, adhering to infection prevention guidelines
  • Clean patients' or service users' rooms/wards, toilets and bathroom areas, communal spaces, and utility rooms
  • Perform deep-cleaning operations in designated areas, using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals
  • Ensure the hospital is clean and safe for patients, staff, and visitors
  • Work collaboratively with the domestic service team and wider hospital community
Requirements:
  • No formal qualifications required, but may be required to complete NVQ Level 1 in cleaning
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Caring and sensitive nature
  • Physical fitness, with ability to work on feet for long periods and perform manual handling tasks
