Telehandler - Materials Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Telehandler to join our team at Vistry Group. As a Telehandler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our construction sites, responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload, store, secure, and distribute materials using a forklift truck, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist the site team in maintaining a safe and secure working environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Inspect and maintain forklift trucks daily, ensuring all necessary records are up-to-date and reporting any defects to the Site Manager.
- Erect and maintain site safety signage, monitoring traffic and pedestrian segregation, and reporting any deficiencies.
- Secure hazards each evening, providing basic first aid if required, and minimizing loss or damage to materials.
- Check and receive material deliveries, ensuring compliance with material strategies and site requirements.
- Maintain site presentation, including tidiness and organization of storage areas, and ensure compliance with the housekeeping policy.
- Distribute tipping skips to working areas and collect when full, ensuring building areas, dwellings, and boundary areas are secure.
- Provide cover for the Site Manager, prioritizing health, safety, and environmental requirements, and ensuring compliance is achieved.
- Ensure material segregation in accordance with the site waste management plan.
Requirements:
- Trained Plant Operator CPCS Card - Telescopic Handler - All sizes Exec 360 Slew - Category A17 Endorsement C.
- Proven experience as a Materials Controller/Forklift Operator or trades person.
- Excellent time-keeping and attendance record, with a commitment to work as required to meet the needs of the business.
- Able to work effectively and safely under pressure, with a customer-focused approach.
- Resourceful and capable of using own initiative, with a willingness to attend site out of hours to deal with emergency situations.
