COWI is seeking a talented and dedicated Drainage Engineer to join our growing Infrastructure Design team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to innovative drainage projects across the UK, making a real difference in shaping a sustainable future.

Your Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers to develop effective solutions for drainage challenges.
  • Produce detailed calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports aligned with project requirements and timelines.
  • Review and verify the accuracy of design calculations and drawings prepared by other engineers.
  • Manage project aspects, conduct site visits, and liaise effectively with clients.
  • Share your expertise and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards through adherence to our Integrated Management System.
Your Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for an individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality engineering solutions. You will possess:

  • A Master's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status (MICE or equivalent).
  • Proven experience with MicroDrainage modeling, Civil3D, or similar industry-standard software.
  • A diverse range of experience working on highways, rail, or water infrastructure projects in the UK design environment.
  • Familiarity with UK highway and/or rail standards, water industry regulations, and a thorough understanding of CDM Regulations, particularly the designer's responsibilities and requirements regarding the design risk assessment process.
  • Experience working effectively within teams, contributing to project delivery, and collaborating with technicians to translate designs into drawings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • A full UK driving license.
